Duties & Responsibilities

Utilize tooling aids and measuring, checking, forming, cutting, marking, and attaching equipment.
Use both stationary and mobile workshop tools (pneumatic and electrical power)
Utilizes schematics, plans, and requirements to create material lists in line with established protocols.
Routes, location, types, sizes, gauges, balances, loads, continuity, and the appropriate and safe functioning of electrical systems, apparatus, and controls are planned and laid out.
hecks conformity of work with applicable plans, specifications, and codes
upkeep, troubleshooting, and repairs for:
3 phase induction motors, single phase motors, and related control devices
DC series, shunt, and compound motors, as well as corresponding control apparatus
Finding faults in AC/DC electrical equipment while observing all safety precautions, using the proper testing tools and fault finding techniques to make sure that all faults are fixed permanently, safely, and neatly, with a focus on determining the cause to minimize the chance of the fault occurring again.
The following should be mounted and connected while according to safety regulations and guidelines.
Switchboards, distribution boards, motor control equipment, isolators, and means to run electrical equipment’s wiring and cables
electric motor bearings packaged according to specifications
gives technical advice to employees, peers, or management
Performs any necessary maintenance and repair work after inspecting the work to identify any issues that need fixing or replacing.
checks both completed and ongoing work for flaws, fire risks, or other harmful issues, as well as to make ensuring that recognized trade practices are being used.
translates schematics
identifies the different electrical circuits, fittings, fixtures, connections, and controllers’ most appropriate locations, configurations, and routes
places electrical components in place
keeps electrical fixtures, appliances, and other equipment in in working condition and replaces worn parts.
replaces damaged components and makes repairs to electrical appliances, equipment, and other things.
Desired Experience & Qualification
· Grade 12 (With Mathematics)
· N3 Electrician trade (Recognised Trade Test pass as an Electrician)
