In order to ensure overall plant availability and equipment effectiveness in the Bleaching Plant, we are looking for a skilled Fitter to provide mechanical services by identifying repair and replacement needs, installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading mechanical systems and equipment, and ensuring tools and materials are available and maintained.
As a Fitter, you will be responsible for:
To maintain industrial machinery and other equipment, metal components and subassemblies must be fitted, assembled, ground, and shaped. mechanical equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and modification
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on the plant in accordance with SAP notifications, work orders, and scheduled schedules, including closures. Complete the SAP system’s alerts and work orders.
When systems fail, do fault-finding and fix the issue to minimize downtime. Participate in failure analysis
Perform equipment checks on a weekly and daily basis using a thorough checklist.
performs any additional responsibilities assigned that come under a fitter’s purview.
Recognize and adhere to the Section’s safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) regulations.

Participate in the investigation of SHEQ incidents on request and help to identify root causes for non-conformance. Correct any deviations that relate to mechanical maintenance
Maintain a high level of good housekeeping in the workplace at all times.
What are we looking for?
Grade 12 and N2 Engineering while N3 Engineering would be preferred
Recognised Trade Test Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter
2 years post-apprenticeship experience in a heavy engineering environment will be advantageous
