Job Responsibilities:
SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:
- Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
- Capture history & complete the notification to the required standard.
CUSTOMERS:
Make sure the client is satisfied
Never give out equipment that hasn’t been properly maintained.
Never do a task without acquiring authorization in the form of a work order notice.
PROCESSES IN BUSINESS:
Performing the work:
Execute the task in accordance with the full Task list and the work order’s specifications.
Take notes on the past and finish the notification to the appropriate quality.
Verify that the work order has the proper time and all necessary data.
On every assignment where there is a discrepancy between the task instructions and the job criteria, provide comments to the maintenance supervisor.
Inform the Maintenance Supervisor on the work order if any supplies, tools, or other elements were unavailable for the task.
Create alerts after inspections and in the wake of them.
Conduct fault-finding on hydraulic systems, internal combustion engines and transmission and torque converters.
Conduct operational testing and fault finding according to engineering maintenance practice.
Planned interventions:
- Perform isolation and issue lock out documents.
- Prioritize maintenance activities according to production requirements.
- Record all data related to the stoppage on the works order.
Ratables Management:
- Change out item.
- Physically transport damaged ratables to lay down area.
General:
- Communicate maintenance information to the relevant supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12/N2 Certificate
- Relevant Trade Certificate (Fitter/Diesel Mechanic)
Additional qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience as an artisan
