ABOUT THE POSITION
MAIN PURPOSE
1) To support the production process with adequate levels of availability, operability (sustained production rates) and reliability relating to the electrical aspect of the production and all ancillary equipment, including the electrical distribution systems, by ensuring that all engineering related breakdowns, problems and opportunities related to all equipment in the converting plant, area Attended to in the shortest possible time and in the most effective and safest manner possible.
2) To ensure that all electrical equipment and installations comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
respecting timetables and doing jobs precisely
Within a fair amount of time, attend to and fix electrical faults or concerns.
Pay attention to scheduled closures and breakdowns, and be ready to work standby on a rotating basis.
Make that the necessary and appropriate electrical spares are available.
restore electrical equipment to its original or acceptable specifications.
Keep track of any downtime, repairs, and adjustments.
upholding high standards for quality, OHS, and cleanliness.
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12,N4 or T3 in an Electrical/ Electronic
- Trade test Certificate
- 3 Years’ experience in pulp and paper
- Knowledge of Siemens plc, Omron Pl, Allen Bradley Plc, Sinamic drives, AC Drives, DC Drives Profibus and Serial Communications.
- Be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Driver’s license
