Introduction

A reputable manufacturing company of cement & construction related products is looking for Millwright Artisans & Electrical Technicians

Key Responsibilities:

  • Standby Duties
  • World class availability, reliability and serviceability of plant measurement, instrumentation, automation & control systems
  • Achieve acceptable service quality
  • Comply with all approved business processes and Engineering Standards.
  • Comply with all relevant legislative standards
  • Optimise relevant in-house measurement, instrumentation, automation & control systems
  • Optimise asset usage (availability & reliability
  • To ensure high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Satisfy customer needs
  • No valid customer complaints
  • Adhere to minimum engineering standards and apply best practices

 

Minimum experience & qualifications required

  • Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics & Science
  • Relevant trade certificate (Millwright qualified) through QCTO – Red seal (based on NQF L4)
  • Relevant N qualification in the specific trade (Minimum N3 with fitting & electrical theory)
  • N3 with Trade Test (Electrical) at an Accredited Service Provider on NQF level 4
  • Valid drivers license (minimum code 8 / EB)
  • 3 – 5 years relevant Artisan experience in a Heavy engineering Industrial And/or manufacturing environment
  • Specific experience in:
  • Robots, PLC and Drives
  • o Electrical field: Sound knowledge of fault finding on Electrical reticulation systems Basic instrumentation. Reading of electrical drawings
  • o Fitting & Turning : Replacement of bearings, Maintaining of equipment, Hydraulic and pneumatic
  • o This is an exceptional opportunity to gain excellent experience in a variety of equipment
  • Specific equipment experience would be advantages: Conveyor belts, Screw Conveyors, Pneumatic & Hydraulics, Elevators, Gearboxes, Vertical Roller and Ball Mills., Packer, Palletiser, Stretch-hood
  • Ability to perform in a production environment

 

 FOR ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

  • 5 year plant experience in a heavy industrial environment experience
  • Basic knowledge of LV/MV electrical equipment and reticulation systems
  • will be an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of plant instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of PLC’s (Siemens S5 + S7) and SCADA
  • (Wonderware, Intouch) systems.
  • Working knowledge of power electronics such as excitation systems and
  • AC/DC Drives.
  • Networking, ASI, Profibus and Ethernet
  • Valid driver’s license
