Job Description
In our division, Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has a fantastic potential. In order to fill a Utilities Artisan: Mechanical position, which is headquartered in Phoenix, we are seeking outstanding individuals with the necessary training and experience. The chosen applicant will answer directly to the Phoenix-based Team Leader Utilities. To preventatively maintain (inspect, modify, and repair) line equipment in accordance with maintenance goals in order to maximize equipment availability, continuously increase line efficiency, and reduce losses and risk.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
PLANNED MAINTENANCE
• Participate in the maintenance planning meeting, offering ideas and defining the work that needs to be done.
• Do the work during the planned maintenance window in line with the planner’s published planned maintenance schedule.
• Inform the maintenance planner for guidance when the planned work cannot be finished. This can include postponing the task or giving other tasks a higher priority.
• Help coworkers on the team in carrying out their duties in support of scheduled maintenance windows.
• Do all administrative and SAP duties required for the next maintenance.
• Participate in post-mortems on maintenance to discuss issues, opportunities, and lessons learned from maintenance tasks.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
• Comply with the cleaning, lubrication, and inspection requirements outlined in the Maintenance Department’s maintenance schedule.
• Scheduler.
When issues are discovered during normal maintenance, they must be solved using the proper problem-solving procedures. • Perform routine maintenance tasks in line with the maintenance schedule. More resources may be enlisted as necessary.
• Execute condition monitoring tasks when the Technician has been given them in line with the CM schedule.
RUNNING REPAIRS
• Participate in plant and equipment operating repairs upon request, or assist the shift artisans in doing repairs.
• Before beginning repairs, evaluate the issue and choose a course of action.
• When necessary, specialized help may be requested. This might include both internal (such as instrument technicians) and external (such as contractors or suppliers) resources.
• When repairs reveal that more extensive work, such rewiring a motor, is needed, this task must be entrusted to the engineering workshop.
• Confirm that the issue has been resolved where ongoing fixes have been made.
• Do the administrative responsibilities associated with any ongoing repairs the Technician performed. All SAP inputs are included in this.
PROBLEM SOLVING
• Use the proper problem-solving strategy to address issues that have arisen during everyday operations.
• As necessary, enlist the aid of additional resources to help with problem-solving or escalate the situation to the Engineering Controller for guidance.
• On demand, assist other team members in resolving issues.
· Participate in FFAs as requested.
HOUSEKEEPING AND SAFETY
• Always conduct yourself safely, and identify and call attention to any harmful work habits so that they may be changed.
• Comply in full with all applicable legal, NOSA, environmental, and other laws.
• Do the assigned tasks in accordance with the work instructions and follow the relevant SAB rules and procedures.
• Do housekeeping responsibilities while incorporating the 5S guiding principles.
GENERAL
• Start up, run and maintain the following equipment:
• 11kV / 380V transformers and reticulation
• 7 and 40 bar air compressors and driers
• Steam Boilers
• Refrigeration plants
• Water treatment (Nano and RO)
• Pumps, gearboxes, filters
• When requested, to implement small capital projects
• Delegated and monitored work allocation
• Managed personal development and performance
Skills, Experience & Education
• Recognized Trade Test qualifications in Millwright, Electrical and Mechanical with N3 or higher.
• 4-5 years relevant technical experience in an FMCG environment.
