WHO IS HILTI?
You will join Hilti for a three-year apprenticeship in the fitting and turning trade, with the goal of earning a certificate of completion. You will also have the opportunity to work as a technician in the Hilti tool service center alongside a qualified technician.

What Does the Role Involve?
Your program consists of 10 months of intensive hands-on work and 2 months of non-consecutive study. Master technologists will coach and supervise you. This is a hands-on position where you will ensure that all repairs are performed in accordance with our global repair instructions’ high quality standards for repair, performance, and final inspection. You are accountable for customer service, repair costs, and quality. As part of the TSC team for Hilti South Africa, the apprentice is responsible for providing an exceptional level of repair, with a particular focus on the quality, speed, and costs of Hilti tool repairs. In addition to repair operations, you will assist the Regional Repair Experts in continuously improving repair standards and all relevant repair procedures.
As a Tool Service Centre Artisan, you will be in charge of ensuring that Hilti power tools, such as angle grinders, rotary hammers, combi hammers, vacuum cleaners, breakers, screwdrivers, diamond and measuring tools, and others, are repaired to the highest possible standard. In order to improve the quality, speed, and cost of the repair process, you will need to be able to perform a root cause analysis and develop proposals and solutions for this position. You will report to the TSC manager, team leader, and master technicians on a daily basis, all of whom will help you with training and development.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:
- Completed matric
- Experience in maintaining and repairing electric tools or machinery ( not compulsory / advantegous )
- Customer oriented and passionate about continuous improvement
- Good communication skills in English and preferably another language
- Team-oriented with courage, commitment and flexibility
- Orientation to conscientious mindset around health and safety working standards
