Eskom, South Africa’s principal electricity company, is excited to offer a variety of apprenticeship opportunities in their Turbo Gen Services business unit, located at the renowned Matla Workshop in the scenic province of Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The apprenticeships on offer encompass a range of vital roles, each contributing to the smooth operation of the company. The available positions are as follows:
Artisan Fitter and Turner (6 positions, Reference Number: ERI 0012023)
Artisan Boiler Maker (2 positions, Reference Number: ERI 0012021)
Artisan Fitter (5 positions, Reference Number: ERI 0012024)
Artisan Turner (6 positions, Reference Number: ERI 0012025)
Artisan Welder (2 positions, Reference Number: ERI 0012022)
These positions are classified under Task Grade I05, and are situated within the essential Maintenance Department. Successful applicants will embark on a transformative 4-year Apprenticeship Contract, during which they will receive a stipend in line with Eskom’s comprehensive policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Each role requires a different set of skills and qualifications. These include:
Fitting and Machining N2 Engineering (for the Fitter and Turner, and Turner positions)
Boilermaker N2 Engineering (for the Boiler Maker position)
Fitting and machining/ Mechanotechnology N2 Engineering (for the Fitter position)
Welder N2 trade theory Engineering (for the Welder position)
Experience:
No previous experience is required for these positions, making them an excellent opportunity for individuals starting their career.
