PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide an opportunity for successful candidates to participate in an Electrical Engineering learnership programme in order to attain artisanship by means of trade testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Completed N3 or NCV4 certificate in Electrical Engineering Heavy Current
Subjects at N3 level: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Electro Technology, Industrial Electronics.
Must have a basic understanding of the applicable trade.
Medically fit for both plants (BMR and PMR).
TRAINING PROGRAMME / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Thirty six (36) months learnership with a set training programme under the auspices of the MQA.
The learnership will also provide the incumbent with a sound understanding on how to safely install, maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment and machinery within a plant.
