City of Polokwane Local , jointly with the Department of National Treasury, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified unemployed graduates to participates in a three (03) years fixed term contract programme: Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Graduate Programme.

 

Open internship;

  • Civil engineering
  • Electrical engineering
  • Property  valuation
  • Construction project management

The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:

Civil Engineers (Water/Hydraulic Engineering)

Bsc. Honours in:
• Civil Engineering
• Microbiological science
• Chemical Science

Electrical Engineer

Must have any of the following:
• B-Tech in Electrical Engineering/Electronics
• Bsc Electrical Engineering

Construction Project Management

Must have any of the following:
• Bsc/Honours Construction Studies
• Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Health and Safety Management/Urban Development (NQFL 8)

Property Valuers

Must have any of the following:
• Bsc /Honours Property Studies/Real Estate
• Bcom /Honours (Property Valuation and Management)

Construction Project Management (Roads and Stormwater)

Must have any of the following:
• Bsc /Honours Construction Studies Postgraduate
• Diploma in Construction Health and Safety Management
• Postgraduate Diploma in Urban Development (NQFL 8)

Construction Project Management (Transportation)

Must have any of the following:
• Bsc /Honours Construction Studies
• Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Health and Safety Management /Urban Development (NQFL 8)

Requirements:
• Applicant must be unemployed
• A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
• Must be a South African citizen in possession of the valid South African Identity document and falling within the jurisdiction of Polokwane Local Municipality.
• Must be under the age of 35.
• Academic qualification must be in line with the professional registration requirements of the respective statutory councils.
• Stamped original proof of residence (Letter from Traditional Local Authority or Municipal utility bill).
