Job Description

Purpose of the job: To maintain the overall effectiveness of equipment and plant on site

Responsibilities:

• Technical support/Trouble shooting
• On the job training
• System maintenance – attend to breakdowns and general plant maintenance.

Knowledge

• Expert knowledge in engineering
• Basic welding, grinding and painting will be an added advantage
• Industry knowledge – Food safety and Health and safety
• Analytical skills
• Accuracy / Attention to detail
• Communication skills
• Decision making ability

Problem solving ability

Qualification Requirements

• Matric
• N2 or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Experience Requirements

• 1 years’ experience in a production factory
• 2 years’ experience as an artisan assistant will be an added advantage

Other Requirements:

• Factory environment – hot and noisy
• Working with and on heavy plant equipment (technical and mechanical)
