Open Role Description
Provide support to the instrument Technician
Responsibilities:
• Assist the technician in the performance of various duties, including:
• Plant wide electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs in the mine.
• Assist technician in building new panels and circuits and installations.
• Operate self-propelled mobile machines as instructed and licensed, appointed and authorised to operate.
• Perform various tasks in the plant/mine as instructed by the relevant Artisan /Supervisor /Foreman, including assisting during breakdowns, maintenance shutdowns and construction and project work.
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12
• N2 Trade theory, mathematics, engineering science and drawing
• 3 months experience in a similar role
• Basic understanding of instrumentation work
• Patient / Hardworking / Safety-conscious
• Work well in a team / Good communication skill
• Trouble-shooting skills / Problem solving skills
• Works well independently / Supervising subordinates
• Fitness Certificate
• Good with hand tools
• One or more mobile machine operator licence
