Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Conduct maintenance checks in the Production, Warehouse and Office areas.
• Assist with the repairs and maintenance of motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring and other electrical equipment.APPLY NOW ONLINE
• Assist with low- and medium-voltage system repairs and maintenance.
• Operate a variety of Electrical Testing Equipment and perform fault-finding and repair activities.
• Collect all materials required for repair and maintenance work.
• Prepare work areas and perform installations and wiring.
• Assist with the building of Electrical Control Panel and installation of electrical points and connections.
• Install new machinery and equipment and perform electrical terminations.
• Request consumables required to perform repairs, maintenance or installations and obtain quotations for consumable replenishments.
• Identify health and safety hazards and implement corrective and preventative measures.
Job Requirements
• National Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License (Code EC)
• Certificate for Working-at-Heights is beneficial
• Basic knowledge of various electrical instruments and Electrical Codes
• Knowledge of start- and stop wiring / control panels
• Basic knowledge of variable speed drives
• Knowledge of various production machinery
• Willing and able to perform Standby-duties and hours
