ASSISTANT DIESEL MECHANIC
JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT DIESEL MECHANIC Job ref no: BAL-SEC-2025-003 Baletsema Mining Services requires the service of an Assistant Diesel Mechanic.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Grade 12
• Valid driver’s license with PDP
• Previous experience in Auto Electrical/ Mechanical
• No previous criminal record
• Ability to perform annual inspections
• Required to be Medical Fit for underground work
• Required to undergo Psychometric Assessment
• Have an understanding of underground environment and the related hazards as per Mine Health and Safety Act
Competencies:
• Must have minimum of N2 in diesel Theory.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and multitask.
• Must be willing to work shifts and overtime.
• Must have knowledge regarding mine standard’s best practices, risk management and operational business objectives.
• Knowledge of safety policies, procedures and regulations are essential.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of diesel equipment (Bakkies – LDVs)
• Ensure LDVs comply to underground working
• Ensure that work is performed safely as per the Mine Health and Safety Act
• Ensure that the workspace and special instruments are compliant and safe to use
• Complete any workshop -related activities as specified by the Manager
