The Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust is an accredited training provider in the Province. Its mandate is to develop the Human Resources base of the Mpumalanga Province via the provision of experiential, technical, hospitality and tourism, entrepreneurship and life skills training. Applications are invited from suitable and qualified candidates for the following vacant position:
1. HANDYMAN X2 (KANYAMAZANE
NELSPRUIT)
(Fixed Term Contract x12 Months)
Remuneration: R 8 640.00 per month
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 and Certificate in a Technical Discipline (N3 or NCV 4) and multi-Skilled in Painting, Plumbing, Welding and electrical.
• Two-years maintenance experience in a technical or hospitality establishment
Key performance areas:
• Complete general maintenance of the hotel building, housekeeping, overall hotel facilities and surrounding premises.
• Perform walk-through assessments and prepare cost estimates
• Perform basic repairs (e,g. wall damage, broken windows, broken doors, minor electrical fault.
• Assist trades man with electrical, plumbing and carpentry work
• Refurbish paint surface and any other painting work
• Maintaining overall cleanliness and proper functioning of the area or tools or the machinery.
• Take on other installation, repair, and maintenance duties as needed and legally permitted
• Follow workplace, health and safety rules.
• Coordinate service with customers and handle compliance professionally.
• Manage job details, review daily tasks and follow up with customers complains or queries that need to be attended.
• Attend to emergency maintenance jobs as they arise from time to time and priorities accordingly.

Successful candidates will be appointed on a probation period of 3 (three) months.
The successful candidate will be expected to sign a performance agreement.
