Introduction
Airports Company South Africa is looking for young and enthusiastic people between the ages of 18 and 34 to enter an Apprenticeship Programme for a period of 3 years. The apprenticeship Programme will assist candidates to acquire knowledge, skills and technical competencies in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering disciplines.
This opportunity will be based at Bram Fischer International Airport.
Description
The apprenticeship programme offers opportunities to pursue the following trades:
- Millwright
- Electrician
- Fitter
The programme will be structured along the guidelines of a learning programme accredited by the relevant SETA that must be completed within the prescribed timeline.
Apprentices will spend 70% of their time on the practical components of the training at the relevant departments within our aviation environment.
Theoretical training will form 30% of the programme and will be conducted at the training centre.
Each Apprentice will be assigned a mentor to guide them professionally and throughout the entire programme and ensure their growth into artisan roles.
As part of the programme, apprentices will receive a stipend for the duration of the programme.
Technical Skills and Experience
- National Technical Diploma (N6) in Electrical/Mechanical or Electro-mechanical engineering or relevant.

- Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills
