Role Discription
Responsible for technical and general assistance in electrical development, installation, maintenance and repair work on the mine and the mine residence
Key Responsibilities
• Assist Electrician in the performance of various duties, including.
• Plant-wide electrical maintenance and repairs on the mine and mine residences, such as fault-finding, electrical projects, and installations.
• Assist with new panels and circuits and installations
• Operate trackless mobile machines certified, appointed and authorised for as instructed
• Assist to perform various tasks in the plant/mine as instructed by the relevant Artisan and foreman, including assisting during breakdowns, maintenance shutdowns, and construction and project work.
• Assist with Monthly tool Inspection
• Assist with Electrician Daily Plant Inspection
Minimum requirement
• Grade 12
• N2 Electrical
• One or more mobile machine operator licence
• Good with hand tools
• Good communication skills / Trouble-shooting skills
• Problem solving skills / Patient / Hardworking
• Safety-conscious / Work well in a team.
• Fitness Certificate
• Understanding and application of Health & Safety Principles
• 3 months experience in a similar role
• Basic understanding of electrical work
