Key Output
- Successfully complete all theoretical learning, practical training and skills assessments
- Apply all skills learnt in the workplace
- Complete necessary documentation for the required experience building (Logbook, Training records)
- Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
- Achieve individual balanced scorecard and KPI’s
- Effective self-management and performance ownership
- Accurate reporting on task completed and related documentation/administration
- Productivity and cost control
- Safety, risk, contamination and quality control
- • Assist/support senior machinist with projects
- Basic machining operations (turning, milling, drilling and tapping)
- Adhere to general machinery regulations act.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
- Grade 12/ Matric with N3 level mathematics and physical science or FLT (Foundational Learning Certificate)
- N2 or higher: Maths, Science, mechanical Trade Theory and Technical Drawings
- NCV4: Maths, Physical Science, Industrial Science, Mechanical Trade Theory, Technical Drawings and/or Electrical Trade Theory.
- Valid Driver’s Licence – Code B (to be obtained before trade test)
- Basic analytical ability
- Basic technical/mechanical reasoning
- Basic numerical reasoning
- Spatial visualisation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
