Introduction
Airports Company South Africa is looking for young and enthusiastic people between the ages of 18 and 34 to enter an Apprenticeship Programme within the civil environment for a period of 3 years. The apprenticeship Programme will assist candidates to acquire knowledge, skills and technical competencies in Civil/Brick Laying/Plumbing Engineering/Trade disciplines.
Duties & Responsibilities
These opportunities will be based at Bram Fischer International Airport.
The apprenticeship programme offers opportunities to pursue the following trades:
- Plumbing
- Brick Laying
The programme will be structured along the guidelines of a learning programme accredited by the relevant SETA that must be completed within the prescribed timeline.
Apprentices will spend 70% of their time on the practical components of the training at the relevant departments within our aviation environment.
Theoretical training will form 30% of the programme and will be conducted at the training centre.
An Apprentice will be assigned a mentor to guide them professionally and throughout the entire programme and ensure their growth into artisan roles.
As part of the programme, apprentices will receive a stipend for the duration of the programme.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Technical Skills and Qualification Required
National Technical Certificate (N3 – N6)/S4 in Civil Engineering.
