The role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo.
This is a Fixed Term role.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Good House keeping
- Material & workshop machinery & equipment control
- Use of Engineering tools
- Loading, dispatching material & equipment to work sites
- Provides assistance to all trades (Artisans) with activities within and without the team.
- Ensure tool availability
- Follow work instructions
- Ensure proper understanding of the required actions
- Apply recognized work and safety standards
- Ensure that members work together as a team while completing tasks
- Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards
- Ensure that material is not unnecessarily wasted
- Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks
- Communication to artisans any unexpected problems
- Effective two way communication with team members
- Help operational employees to maintain equipment in area of responsibility
- Accompany artisan when inspecting and completing tasks
- Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices
- Report any safety related issues to the artisan or full time safety representative
- Grade 12 with Maths and Science
Experience, Technical knowledge skills
- No experience required.
- Communication in English
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior 18.2 learnership experience.
