Job Description
To work in our Grocery Division, RCL FOODS is looking for an electrician. Pretoria West will be the location of the position, which will report to the engineering manager. RCL FOODS is searching for a qualified candidate to maintain the equipment at the site to guarantee maximum efficiency and make sure that all planned maintenance work is completed on time.
Minimum Requirements
Matric and an N3 in Electrical engineering or equivalent
Qualified Electrician
5 Years qualified experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG), Section 13
5 years working experience in industrial baking environment
Experience with PLC’s and Switchgear, Read/ Write/ Program
Experience with VSD’, VLT’s, Soft Starters and complex interlocking systems
Duties & Responsibilities
to make sure all electrical equipment is maintained effectively and affordably.
being proactive in spotting possible flaws or malfunctions before they happen.
To make sure that every failure is fixed as quickly and affordably as feasible
to guarantee that all equipment in the production facilities remains in good shape.
to guarantee that the maintenance D-store has the appropriate spare tools/equipment.
to guarantee and avoid recurrence or recurring breakdowns.
to adopt maintenance and preventative measures to minimize breakdowns.
Inside the manufacturing facilities, electrical/electronic networks and equipment need to be installed, maintained, serviced, and repaired.
advanced electrical circuit fault detecting.
reducing downtime to ensure machine availability.
addressing malfunctions, identifying faults, and fixing them.
planned and proactive maintenance of all electrical apparatus and installations.
to make certain that SANS standards are followed in the maintenance and upkeep of all MV and LV Substations.
to guarantee that SANS 10142 wiring standards are always followed.
to guarantee that the SANS 10108 hazardous site requirements are always followed.
Must make sure that the RCL Foods Consumer division’s work permit/lockout mechanism is being followed.
to make sure that all corporate safety standards and procedures are followed.
to guarantee that all safety features are present and functioning properly at all times on all equipment.
understanding and adherence to SHEQ laws and regulations.
Follow the OHS Act and COID Act’s regulations for food safety, workplace health and safety, environmental protection, and other risk management needs.
to make sure that all instrumentation equipment is maintained effectively and affordably.
to actively seek for possible problems or breakdowns before they happen.
to make sure that every failure is fixed as quickly and affordably as feasible.
to guarantee that all equipment remains in excellent shape.
to guarantee that the maintenance D-store is stocked with the required spare instruments. PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs
to guarantee effective and affordable maintenance of any soft PLC hardware.
Must be able to program SCADA systems and PLCs with minor modifications.
to actively seek for possible problems or breakdowns before they happen.
To ensure that all breakdowns are attended to in a cost-effective/ fastest manner possible.
To ensure the continued good condition of all equipment.
To ensure that all new small-scale projects/ changes and modifications are implemented and completed to the requirements of the Plant Engineer/ Engineering Manager.
Implement projects in the shortest period without financial loss to the company.
Ensure successful implementation of small scale projects, and testing after implementation compulsory.
Ensure correct devices, machinery and software applications are installed for the correct processes.
