Job Description

A Fitter is needed by RCL FOODS to join our Speciality Business Unit. The position will be situated in Centurion, under the maintenance foreman’s supervision. To guarantee that machines continue to function smoothly, systems run effectively, and the physical condition of the equipment does not degrade, RCL FOODS is searching for an incumbent to carry out routine preventative maintenance.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified Fitter/Fitter & Turner
5 years of experience post Trade test
Basic Electrical experience will be an advantage.
Knowledge in welding, machining, cutting, compressors, conveyor belts and LP gas equipment.
Oven burners and bakery equipment experience
Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect drives, motors, belts, and bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
Ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety requirements.
Diagnose and correct mechanical problems.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Direct and train workers to install, and maintain mechanical equipment.
Record maintenance and repair work performed.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Perform general machining on the lathe and milling machine as required by the engineering team.
