Description
The purpose of this position is to diagnose and maintain machinery and equipment according to technical specification and sound engineering practise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform trade-related investigations, diagnoses, and repairs on machinery and equipment in accordance with the maintenance guidelines, standards, and specifications.
Conduct daily inspections in compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act rules, operational guidelines, and business standards to notify the Supervisor of any equipment and machinery malfunctions or flaws.
Design all trade-related equipment necessary for the secure operation of all engineering equipment, as well as modify, build, and install it.
When the activity is finished, make sure that all installations and equipment are secure and in excellent operating condition.
Monitor equipment efficiency and failure rates constantly to enhance trade-specific systems and equipment.
Contact the production teams before making maintenance decisions that might affect output.

To support the maintenance of the planned/asset maintenance system, make sure that maintenance-related information is documented and submitted to the appropriate planning office.
Qualification Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Valid Section 13 / Section 26(D) Trade Test Certificate required
- Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1
- Own transport to attend to call outs
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a qualified Fitter
- Experience on Winders
- English Language Proficiency
- Time management skills
