QUALIFICATIONS. SKILLS AND COMPETENCE REQUIRED
A Minimum Grade 9
Minimum of 6 months relevant experience
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL
Physically and medical fit
Knowledge of construction working environment
Knowledge of relevant tools and materials
Communicate
Distinguish between correct tools, equipment and materials and usage thereof for specific task.
JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure a reliable duty by assisting RME construction teams during maintenance and construction works.
To ensure that work is completed effectively and efficiently performing general worker duties
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Handling, loading and offloading material
Distinguish and identify different types of materials and tools
Use material to execute tasks received from the supervisor
Understand the sequence of tasks given by the supervisor
Preforming trench excavations, as well as handling or laydown any kind of services to trenches and do backfilling.
Support and obey instruction received from the supervisor
Cleaning of site by removing weeds, stacking materials, sweeping floors, and removing and disposing of excess/rubble materials
Cleaning of tools
Must be able to use any hand tool (non-mechanised) in the construction environment
Must be able to use any hand tool or mechanised equipment in the construction environment
