INTRODUCTION:
Komatsu South Africa has an exciting opportunity for Artisan Assistant to join our team at Mafube, the preffered candidate should have Matric/N3 Certificate, with Technical Subjects and at least 1 year experience in general workshop/technical environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric/N3 Certificate, with Technical Subjects.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-year general workshop/technical environment experience.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Some knowledge of tools and machine repairs.
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Have a passion for Heavy Earthmoving Machinery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Remains up to date with SHE procedures.
- Required to work overtime and standby from time to time and must be prepared to travel when needed.
- Assist the artisan in all aspects.
- Disassembles machine/components.
- Checks that equipment/tools are operational and safe.
- Reports defective equipment to artisan.
- Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present.
- Must have some knowledge on basic tools and the purpose of tools used.
- Must be presentable and tidy.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Team player.
