ELECTRICAL ASSISTANT — AFRICA BRANCH
(LOCATION: DURBAN WITH FREQUENT TRAVEL TO AFRICA)
(All candidates must be in possession of a valid passport 8 driver’s license)
SUMMARY OF OUR COMPANY ANU Electrical Services (The Switchgear Co) was formed in 1996 to provide a service to heavy industry, light industry and commercial businesses. Our core business is the testing, maintenance, repairs and installations of low and medium voltage switchgear and associated equipment up to 132KV.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum Grade 12/Matric certificate.
2. Valid Driver’s Licence
3. Valid Passport
4. Completed a minimum of N3 Electrical studies
5. Basic understanding of electrical systems or experience in a similar role is advantageous.
6. Physically fit to handle manual labour and heavy lifting.
7. Strong attention to safety practices and detail.
8. Reside locally or have reliable transport to the work location.
THE BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Assist technicians with installation, maintenance, and repairs of switchgear equipment both locally and throughout Africa.
2. Perform general housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
3. Handle and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
4. Support team with loading, unloading, and transportation of switchgear components.
5. Conduct basic inspections and report faults or issues.
