Are you a passionate, hands-on individual with a strong interest in engineering and maintenance? Cani Rusks, in collaboration with FoodBev SETA, is offering an exciting Millwright Apprenticeship opportunity for unemployed youth who are eager to develop their technical skills in a dynamic food production environment.
What is a Millwright? Millwrights are essential to industrial operations. They install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment—making them crucial in manufacturing and food processing industries like ours.
About the Apprenticeship:
• Duration: 3 to 4 years (based on progress and performance)
• Structure: Combination of theoretical training and hands-on practical experience
• Qualification: Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible to write your Trade Test and become a qualified Millwright Artisan
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be unemployed
• South African citizen
• Completed Matric with Maths and Science (minimum pass requirements apply)
• Technical/Engineering-related subjects or N2-N4 will be advantageous
• Strong interest in mechanical and electrical systems
• Willingness to learn, work hard, and commit to the full duration of the program
