Gibela invite unemployed youth to apply for engineering programm
Location:All province
Closing date:11 July 2025
About Gibela;
South Africa has a shortfall of about 40 000 qualified artisans. This is why Gibela, together with government, is encouraging young learners to choose trade jobs. Technical skills are simply not available locally.
Asa company operating in the manufacturing sector, Gibela knows that for industrial jobs, or any job for that matter, people need to have skills.
The skills shortage is mainly in maths and science. As Gibela, we want to partner with educators and learners in the greater Ekurhuleni region to nurture a passion and create awareness for careers in science, technology, engineering and maths. The key to solutions that can crack our national problems lie in scientific and technological innovation!
ABOUT GIBELA’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE CAMPAIGN Gibela recognises the role education can play to meet the demand for skills. Think about it — South Africa needs 30 000 qualified artisans a year. Through Gibela’s Make A Difference campaign, the company wants to be co-creators in realising our community goals — particularly in education and skills development. In a nutshell, our organisation wants to make a difference in whatever way it can. Making a difference can mean a number of things — assisting with required needs or simply being a cheerleader and nudging those that need assistance in the right direction.
