The Phakamile Mabija Apprenticeship

Programme is now open for applications!
We invite motivated South African youth between 18-35 years of age from the Northern Cape Province who wants to study in the fields of:
Refrigeration
Welding
Fitting and Turning
Boilermaking

to apply for the Phakamile Mabija Apprenticeship Programme.
Obtain the following:
Hands-on training over a duration of 36 months A nationally recognised Qualification (Red Seal) and Earn a stipend while you learn.

Minimum requirements are as follows:
Boilermaking – N2 Qualification with passed Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Drawings and Boilermaking Trade Theory.

 

Fitting and Turning – N2 Qualification with passed Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Drawings and Fitting and; Turning Trade Theory.

 

Welding – Level 4 with passed Engineering maths, Engineering Science, Drawings and Platers Trade Theory. Refrigeration – N2 Qualification with passed Engineering Maths, Engineering Science, Drawings and Electrical Trade Theory.

 

Closing date: Tuesday, 30 September 2025

Applications: Apprenticeship application form (available at the DRPW District Offices) to be supported with CV, certificate copies of ID and Qualifications, Proof of Residence, SARS Registration number and proof of banking details to be handed in at the DRPW District Offices or can be posted/couriered.
