Minimum requirements
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Grade 12/ N3 with Pure Mathematics- minimum pass 45% (Not functional Mathematics)
• Grade 12 with English- minimum pass 45%
• Grade 12/ N3 with Physical Science minimum pass 45%
• N2/N3 with relevant theory will be added advantage. Relevant theories- Motor/ Diesel theory or/and Electrical/ Electronic Theory
• Technicians for The World certificate will be an advantage
• Minimum Code B Learner’s License (Light motor vehicle) will be an added advantage.
-Possess a passion for mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
-Are interested in hands-on technical work involving heavy earthmoving machinery.
-Hold or are working towards a relevant certification, such as Motor/Diesel or Electrical/Electronic Theory, or a Technician for The World certificate.
-Have at least a Code B learner’s license or are working on obtaining one, which will enhance their mobility for workshop and site tasks.

Key Responsibility
-Inspect Heavy Earthmoving Products: Gain expertise in assessing machine condition and functionality through detailed inspections.
-Basic Troubleshooting, Testing, and Repairs: Learn to diagnose faults, test components, and perform essential repairs to keep equipment operational.
-Component Removal and Installation: Master the physical processes of dismantling and installing parts in workshops or on-site at customer locations.
-Ordering Parts: Develop administrative skills by managing parts procurement necessary for repairs and maintenance.
-Service Documentation: Keep meticulous records including service reports, labor bookings, returned parts, and expenses, ensuring smooth operational workflows.
-Machine Analysis Reporting: Compile accurate, detailed Machine Inspection Reports (MIR) to communicate the technical status of the equipment to customers and managers
