LOCATION: TSHIPI – NORTHERN CAPE

Auto electrician apprentice
Earthmoving equipment apprentice
KEY OBJECTIVES:
Earthmoving Equipment Apprenticeship: • Assist Artisan to amongst others):
• Diagnose faults and execute repairs on all Earthmoving Equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment to company standards.
• Carry out all minor and major services. • Report all breakdowns to management • Complete daily and weekly inspection sheets and advise notes
• Order spares required for repair, maintenance and services
• Monitor and measure daily efficiencies
• Implement productivity improvement initiatives according to OE plan
• Coordinate services of all equipment and plant.
• Ensure compliance with organizational safety, health, environment and quality standards and procedures
Auto-Electrician Apprenticeship:
• Assist Artisan to (amongst others): Diagnose faults and execute repairs on all Earthmoving Equipment.
-Check electrical systems on designated fleet daily by visually inspecting operation of lights, flashers, warning systems. computers and analysing fault codes by using applicable electronic programs.
– Carry out electrical repairs to designated fleet e.g. wiring, starters or alternators. Lists all faults which carinot be rectified immediately and report these to the Plant Foreman for follow up actan.
-Arrange requisitions of any electncal spares needed for the designated fleet.
– Carries out planned electrical maintenance to vanous machines, as required. Check and sign all service cards on a daily basis on items repaired.
– Follow up on electrical breakdowns. a matter of urgency.
-Ensure compliance with organizational safety. health, environment and quality standards and procedures
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12 with Mathematics. Science and technical drawings.
• N2 passed with the following subjects (Advantageous,:
• Earthmoving Equipment Apprenticeship: Maths. Engineering Science and Diesel trade theory
• At Electrician Apprenticeship:
Maths. Engineering Science and Auto electrical trade theory
