To help the Electrical division manage the site’s electrical systems and equipment, Rand Water is seeking for a candidate.
Minimum Conditions
Combined with a recognized trade exam for electricians, you need a Grade 12 N3 Electrical certificate or its equivalent.
2 years of experience after an apprenticeship in an electrical maintenance setting
Having a current Code 08 driver’s license and being able to pass the K53 exam given by Rand Water
Must be able to fill out work cards the way Rand Water specifies.
knowledge of PLCs, Soft Starters, VSDs, Actuators, Protection Relays, UPSs, and Generators as well as MV/LV switch gear.
Be prepared to perform standby responsibilities
Primary Duties
On the HT and LT systems of electrical pumps and equipment, do preventative maintenance and problem identification.
High and Low Volta exercises
electrical repairs to the machinery and plant.
work on the schematic designs and AC/DC drivers.
Identifying faults, making repairs, installing new equipment, and commissioning it.
