OPPORTUNITY – SISHEN MINE
Sishen Mines’ Sivos Training Centre is inviting suitable qualified youth candidates from labour sending areas of the JTG district to join a Three-year Artisan Skills Learnership programme.

The Three-year Artisan
“Programme is an enrichment programme for the community and will enable you to develop skills with classroom and on-the-job/ core training at Sishen Mine.

This Programme will enable you to maximise your potential along with a tailored plan to provide you with a future to make a difference. As you progress through the Artisan learnership programme, you will be assisted to discover your capability and develop your skills, and ultimately get the opportunity to qualify as an Artisan

Qualification requirement per trade:
MILLWRIGHT: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Electrical Trade Theory and Fitting- and Machining Trade Theory.

• PLATER/WELDER (BOILERMAKER): Mathematics, Engineering Science, Plating- and Structural Steel Drawings and Plater’s Theory.

• FITTER: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Fitting- and Machining Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings

• DIESEL MECHANIC: o Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings. Only apply for one of the abovementioned artisan learnership programmes if you comply with the requirements.

Requirements
• Updated complete CV
• Copy of ID document
• Copy of drivers license (advantageous) • Copy of Grade 12 certificate
• N2 certificate with relevant trade

subjects Additional Information:
You must pass an aptitude test, interview as well as a medical fitness assessment (RFA) prior to the commencement of the leamership. Learnership includes: Monthly stipend, applicable PPE, subsidised accommodation and meals (if required), artisan trade-related toolbox (will become the property of the learner, once qualified as an artisan).

Preference will be given to applications from the designated groups defined in terms of Employment Equity. Although applications will be accepted throughout South Africa, candidates from our labour sending areas (JTG District) and the Northern Cape will receive preference, between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
