2. THE. COMPANY: : (Synopsis) Dutton Plastics Engineering is a major producer of, among other things, high quality Plumbing Products [cisterns, toilet seats, traps, wastes and mechanisms] and Packaging Products [Spray through Aerosol and dust caps including Actuators] and is based at Alrode industrial area in Alberton, some 22km southeast of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province.
3. It employs plus minus 300 permanent employees nationally with branches at Durban, Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
4. KEY OBJECTIVE (Position Description – Key Objective) The company is working with MerSeta (Metal, Engineering and related Services Sector Education and training Authority) to train apprentices.
5. The following fields have been identified to train young people as Apprenticeships.
• Mechanical (x1)
• Electrical (x1)
• Toolmaker (x1)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Position Description – Specifications) 1. Education: Grade 12 with Maths and Science — minimum pass rate of 50% or 2. Qualifications: (Technical Qualifications) in the specified field of Engineering you are applying for 3. Experience: Relevant working experience will be an added advantage in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment preferably plumbing products, be able to read and write English and be physically fit
