- PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- To provide an opportunity for successful candidates to participate in a Fitting including machining engineering learnership programme to attain artisanship by means of trade testing.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed N2 or NCV4 certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Subjects at N2 level: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Fitters trade theory, Engineering drawing;
- Must have a basic understanding of the applicable trade.
- Medically fit for both plants (PMR and BMR)
- TRAINING PROGRAMME / DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Thirty-six (36) months learnership with a set training programme under the auspices of the Mining Qualification Authority (SETA).
- The learnership will also provide the incumbent with a sound understanding on how to perform first line maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure the plant / operations performance is maintained within normal operating parameters.
