LEARNERSHIP / APPRENTICESHIP (18.2) EXTERNAL LOCAL ONLY – LSA
Finsch Diamond Mine is located in the town of Lime Acres which is situated 160km north west of Kimberley and 109km south of Kuruman in the Northern Cape.
Applications are invited from interested candidates to be trained in the following Trade: Fitter
Job Grade: NG
This is a structured Learnership programme within the Engineering disciplines as stated below.
The Learnership programmes require that candidates be able to work in elevated areas and confined spaces and pass the physical ability assessment for Artisans.
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12
• In possession of a full N2 Certificate in relevant Trade
• Must be in possession of a valid Driver’s License
• Engineering experience in a Mining environment will be an added advantage • Good verbal and written communication in English and sound interpersonal skills

Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo the following prior to final selection:
• Panel Interview
• Must be able to obtain an on mine Certificate of Fitness, which entails a physical ability assessment
• A technical aptitude evaluation/Psychometric Assessments
• Vienna Assessment
• Security Vetting
Candidates must be residents of the Finsch Mine Labour Sending Areas (Kgatelopele Municipality) (Please attach proof to confirm your residential status).
Training will be over a four year maximum period. which will also entail 0/- 16 – 20 weeks per year at an accredited Mining Qualifications Training Centre as determined by Finsch Diamond Mine.
