Job Description
Assist with fitting, fabricating, and assembling plant equipment, also repairing and servicing machinery required.
Work in the manufacturing plant to install industrial pipework, carry out repairs to pipework using welding methods, completing jobs on time, and ensuring safety on the job site.
Assist to complete maintenance work on electrical equipment including testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.
Assist with installation of chemical processing equipment (i.e. pumps, pipes, mechanical structures, and agitators).
Assist with installation of chemical processing equipment (i.e. pumps, pipes, mechanical structures, and agitators).
Assist with preventative maintenance planning and execution.
Conduct general housekeeping in the workshop.

Assist with pipe fitting and troubleshooting. Must also be able to come up with concepts for improvement where required.
Required to conform to relevant SHEQ rules and regulations as per company policy.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum education Grade 12 with a post matric qualification (Mechanical Fitting)
Awareness of Merseta apprenticeship requirements.
Must be computer literate.
Basic awareness of OHSAct.
Must possess good report writing skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team and be deadline driven.
