Applications are invited from unemployed youth who wishes to pursue a career as Artisan.
Suitable candidates will be granted an opportunity to learn and develop as an Artisans over a period of three years.
Apprenticeships program consist of the following trades:
Plumber
Electrical
Learners will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the apprenticeship. When making the final selection, preference will be given to the previous disadvantaged individuals, people with disabilities, females and youth. On the successful of completion of the occupational knowledge, practical and workplace learning, the skill development act requires that apprentices undergo a summative assessment (Trade Test) to be certified as a qualified artisan.
Requirements:
Must be South African Citizen
Must be an unemployed youth between 18-35 years old
Must have completed/passed Grade 12
Must have a minimum of N2 or NC(V) level 3 certificate with the relevant trade theory
