PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Chemical Operator Learnership is a 3-year structured programme that combines theoretical learning with practical, on-the-job training, providing participants with hands-on experience in chemical plant operations. Learners will gain exposure to production processes, plant safety standards, quality control systems, and operational procedures within a manufacturing environment. This opportunity is ideal for young individuals who are passionate about the manufacturing and chemical processing industry and are eager to develop technical skills in a structured learning environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in all structured learning activities and assessments
- Assist with the operation and monitoring of chemical processing equipment
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the plant
- Complete workplace logbooks and assignments as required
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.
POST REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate with English, Mathematics/Mathematics Literacy.
- Grade 12 Physical Science / Physics (advantageous).
- Between the ages of 18 – 35.
- South African citizen.
- Willing to work in an explosive environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
