Duties & Responsibilities
- Junior Mechanic / Apprentice with 1–2 years’ experience preferred
- Earthmoving equipment experience is essential
- Exposure to heavy machinery and equipment
- Strong interest in developing a career as a qualified Mechanic
- Willingness to learn and work under experienced artisans
- Must be medically fit to work in the required environment
- Must be reliable, hardworking and safety conscious
- Cleaning and preparing earthmoving machinery and equipment
- Passing tools and assisting mechanics during maintenance
- Assisting with breakdowns and repairs
- General mechanical assistance and workshop duties
- Supporting preventative maintenance activities
- Inspecting and preparing equipment for maintenance
- Learning to identify mechanical faults and equipment problems
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- No criminal record
- Good attitude and willingness to get hands-on
