 Main career purpose

The important part of this advert is that the programme is designed to develop you from an apprentice into someone capable of progressing toward a Process Leader.

So, the pathway is broadly:

Dairy Apprentice → Practical dairy/cheese manufacturing experience → Process/Production experience → Process Leader

 Who should apply?

This is particularly suitable for someone with Matric/NQF 4 who wants to enter:

  • Dairy processing

  • Food manufacturing

  • Cheese production

  • Production operations

  • Food quality and safety

  • Process operations

Important: The advert does not list an N2/N3, NCV engineering qualification, Mathematics/Physical Science, or previous workshop experience as a requirement. That makes it quite different from the engineering apprenticeships you’ve been tracking.

Application deadline: 13 October 2026.
