Western Cape government electrical assistant

Minimum requirements

• Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification.

• Appropriate experience in general electrical work.

• Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering.

• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Willingness to work overtime when required.

• Knowledge of occupational health and safety.

Main duties

• Assist qualified artisans with electrical maintenance, repairs and installations.

• Maintain hospital equipment, plant rooms and work areas.

• Keep records of repairs and complete repair requisitions.

• Help manage workshop tools and materials.

• Clean work areas after maintenance.
