3. Main duties and responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

1. Repairs and maintenance: Attend service calls and repair faulty weighing equipment.

2. Equipment installation: Install scales and related equipment at customer sites.

3. Scale verification: Ensure scales are verified and sealed according to NRCS/SABS requirements when appointed as a Verification Officer.

4. Software installation: Install relevant software and configure equipment at new customer sites.

5. Preventative maintenance: Perform six-monthly maintenance on contracted scales.

6. Customer service: Maintain good working relationships with corporate customers.

7. Spare parts: Request and obtain replacement parts through the Service Manager.

8. Reporting: Submit reports on completed service calls to the branch and Helpdesk.

9. Sales: Sell labels and equipment where opportunities arise.
