ARTISANT ASSISTANT FITTER (PG 15)
Idwala Industrial Holdings, with interests in lime, carbonates, magnetite and other industrial minerals in various locations, has opportunity at its Danielskuil operation for an Artisan Assistant Fitter position situated in the Northern Cape.
The propose of the position, is to assist with maintains of the plant and equipment in order to ensure minimum production downtime, maximum life span of equipment and production of quality products
REQUIREMENTS:
• Have Grade 12
• Communication and Adaptability.
• Be familiar with Mining / Manulactunng safety regulations
• Be prepared to perform standby duties and emergency .
• Be prepared to work in a hot, dusty environment
• South African driver’s license would be advantageous
Key Performance area
• Ensure average machine availability is maintained
• Assist artisans and handymen with changing of liners and components such as gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
• Do manual labour as instruct..
• Inspect machines and equipment
• Always work under supervision.
• Perform standby and overtime duties as required from time to time and on instruction of foreman.
• Utilize and maintain good housekeeping on available workshop tools and equipment.
• Adhere to sectional management standards relating to SHEO.
