An apprenticeship is a work-based route of achieving qualifications for individuals who are interested in working in a practical and technical field as an artisan. It is a combination of theoretical, practical, and hands-on training. Apprenticeship is a way to help individuals develop their careers while becoming experienced professionals with valuable sk

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To undertake all training, on site and off site as per the Apprentice Programme.
  • To attend the required training hours on site and training Centre as required by the merSETA regulations.
  • To understand and comply with Company Policies and Procedures, including Health and Safety regulations.
  • To carry out all activities in a safe and diligent manner.
  • To attend and fully participate in regular training and development reviews with the mentors/qualified artisans/Team Leaders and HR.
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as and when required.
  • Undertakes all work activities willingly, prepared to go the ‘extra mile’.
  • Takes responsibility for planning and organising the successful completion of the Apprentice Programme within the required time period.
  • Work in different production departments and/or other as and when required.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Matric with Mathematics and Physical Sciences
  • N2 Electrical/Mechanical qualification
