Introduction
An Electrician Assistant supports qualified electricians in the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems and equipment. The role involves assisting with electrical maintenance and projects, preparing tools and materials, following safety procedures, and ensuring work areas remain organized and compliant with industry standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment required for electrical work.
- Pull, route, and secure electrical cables and conduits.
- Help troubleshoot electrical faults and perform basic repairs under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Always follow workplace health and safety regulations.
- Load and unload equipment and materials at job sites.
- Conduct basic inspections and testing of electrical systems as directed.
- Perform general labour duties related to electrical installations and maintenance.
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric or equivalent.
