For its operations in Gqebera, our client in the automotive industry is looking to hire an electrician to join their maintenance team.

Duties:

determines the underlying cause of equipment failure and implements a strategy or takes action to address the issue by expediting repairs.
ensures minimal equipment damage and downtime by quickly fixing faults, malfunctions, and failures.
application of pertinent technical and engineering standards, as well as getting manufacturing process approval of the operational condition of the equipment, are used to ensure optimal equipment operation.
Makes ensuring that all maintenance job cards are closed out once the work has been completed (Shop Ware).
Supports and communicates with Production by proactively identifying possible issues, fixing process-related issues, and scheduling maintenance for production runs.
provides the Maintenance Supervisor with pertinent reports on maintenance repairs completed, production support provided, downtime logged, and ensuring paper trail is maintained.                 To  ascertain the precise condition of the equipment, do “first off” inspections (daily check sheets) on all process modifications.
Conduct routine (predictive and planned) inspections to look for potential equipment faults. Make a diagnosis and carry out the required maintenance.
coordinates maintenance times with Supervisors and Production.
Coordinates the availability of parts so that maintenance procedures can be carried out.
compile a written report on “out of the usual” circumstances and give it to the maintenance supervisor.

Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) (Grade 12)
N5 at least N6 National Diploma Electrical Advantageous GCC
Trade Exam: Millwright or Electrician (NQF 5)
An electrician with up to three years’ worth of technical and electrical maintenance experience
