OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

to set up, maintain, and fix communication systems and tools for Impala operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

STD 10 (NQF Level 4) and Grade 12 are required.
It is necessary to show proof of training as a Telkom Technician or Technical Officer.
A+ and N+ in IT Being qualified would be advantageous.
Telecommunications work experience of 8–10 years would be helpful.
A certified fiber technician is required, and they must have five to ten years of expertise working with fiber cables or five to ten years working with Siemens Hi Path 4000 equipment.
MS Office proficiency and computer literacy are prerequisites.
A current driver’s license is required.
To receive such a certificate, you must either have a valid medical certificate or be in good health.

COMPETENCIES:

must be familiar with COP protocol
Knowledge of safety procedures is required.
understanding of fundamental telecommunications

KEY AREAS OF PERFORMANCE:

Verify or sign all worksheets for the administrative office.
Adhere to the management’s established safety standards, procedures, and excellent housekeeping
Keep track of weekly assignments in crucial operational areas.
Work extra hours and be available as needed
capable of installing, terminating, and maintaining the whole copper and fiber network infrastructure for telecommunications
able to use test equipment to locate and identify faults in copper and fiber optic connections
As accurately as rapidly as you can, respond to callouts and problems involving cable infrastructure, power supplies, and telecommunications equipment.
Always keep all areas of telecommunications exchanges and workshops clean, and report any issues with access control systems and air conditioning in exchanges.
