INTRODUCTION:
Komatsu South Africa has an exciting opportunity for Artisan Assistant to join our team at Germiston . The preferred candidate should have Matric/N3 Certificate, with Technical Subjects and at least 1 year experience in general workshop/technical environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric/N3 Certificate, with Technical Subjects.
EXPERIENCE:
1-year general workshop/technical environment experience.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Some knowledge of tools and machine repairs.
Good communication and inter-personal skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Have a passion for Heavy Earthmoving Machinery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remains up to date with SHE procedures.
Required to work overtime and standby from time to time and must be prepared to travel when needed.
Assist the artisan in all aspects.
Disassembles machine/components.
Checks that equipment/tools are operational and safe.
Reports defective equipment to artisan.
Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present.
Must have some knowledge on basic tools and the purpose of tools used.
Must be presentable and tidy.
Ability to work under pressure.
Team player.
