POSITION :Maintenance Assistant
LOCATION :Kariega
Sovereign, a national supplier of quality chicken products to various markets with operations in five provinces, the Commercial Division in Kariega is looking for individuals to assume the responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant.
The job holder will report directly to the Maintenance Foreman.
The successful candidate must possess a Grade 12 certificate or a NQF Level 4 certificate with technical background is a requirement. Previous experience in maintenance or operation of a gyro will be an added advantage.
RESULTS REQUIRED.
• Minimize downtime in order to contribute to achieve targeted through put
• Conducting preventative maintenance on the machines to reduce downtime and improve downtime performance that will result in cost saving, reduced downtime and improved performance
• Adhere to communicated SOPs which relate to Maintenance and the operations thereof.
• Complete a shift handover to the next shift that comes on duty in order to keep the momentum going.
• Adhere to general manufacturing practices for the food environment
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES and SKILLS
• Knowledge on FMCG equipment operation and maintenance
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good planning and organizational skills • Stress Tolerance
• Ability to form part of a shift based team
• Flexibility and adaptability with regards to breakdowns and working hours.
